Dear Raffy,
Before you came so sudden
Darkness was my intimate mate
Struggling from the grasp of yesterday’s touch
Drowned in agony and treacherous luck
I- was in the process of healing
The tune of deaf melodic hearing
Before you came,
My heart’s been shattered Parts cluttered,
I said I’m tired Of picking up the shards of hopeless devotion
Against the current of my emotions
Licking past the wound
It would never be the same
Before you came
I kept on playing the risking game
And ended up losing my entire brain
Betting on something worthy of value
In conclusion, was used and devalued
Before you came
Towers of bricks guarded the part
Closing the door locking the heart
Making sure no one enters
If they do, inside is winter Cold as ice, solid as stone
I had forgotten the rainbows at home
Lily skies window sills painted lies
I close my eyes then the cloud cries
But then you came
Then you came,
You brought sunset in my eyes
Butterflies fluttering in disguise
Kept the river I shed for years
Filled out my soul with yearning tears
Hills of gloom turned upside down
Gleaming in joy looking like a clown
Embraced my imperfections
Kept my path in the right direction
You were the one- the one I always wanted
This time please don’t take me for granted
Yes- you came
The unexpected missing piece
You came just in time And brought me serene loving peace
But then Here they are again
Crawling under the den
Thoughts I burry deep
Came out and dressed like a sheep
Phrases of what if Hunting me slowly
I beg for mercy Please stop it's killing me
Planting doubt in my veins
Brain in a chaotic maze
Questioning my worth
Useless as garbage in his turf
I looked into his eyes And then I realized
The anxiety surrendered
Dug its own grave and never bothered
I looked into his eyes
And saw my own reflection
The passion of sincerity
It came through and overwhelmed me
I looked into his eyes
And felt the love I kept on giving
And now, I’m finally receiving
Dear Raffy,
These are the words I wanted to say
Please keep your heart at bay
Because I’ll always be, enchanted to meet you.

A/N: History about this poem
This poem is my grand finals piece of an AWITULA competition in a virtual community I've joined on the year 2021 This piece is originally accompanied by the song "Enchanted" by Taylor Swift. The poem's muse is someone the author knows. Raffy is not his name but a nickname the author used to portray her feelings and to be inspired and give life to the literary. The content of the the poem is solely fictional except for the fact that this author actually fell in love with this person but the feelings aren't mutual. She won this virtual competition that same year it was written and in year 2022, on the month of March, it's still him yet she is trying her best to forget how she felt towards him. Fighting!!!
